What is Veterinary Laser Therapy?
Veterinary laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses light energy to stimulate healing and reduce pain in animals. It is a safe and effective alternative to traditional pain management methods, such as medication or surgery.
The therapy works by using a low-level laser or light-emitting diode (LED) to target specific areas of the body. The light energy penetrates deep into the tissue, promoting cellular regeneration and reducing inflammation. This results in pain relief and improved healing for a variety of conditions.
How is Veterinary Laser Therapy Performed?
The first step in veterinary laser therapy is a thorough examination by one of our veterinarians. They will assess your pet’s condition and determine if laser therapy is the right treatment option.
If laser therapy is recommended, your pet will be placed in a comfortable position, and protective eyewear will be provided to both you and your pet. The laser will then be applied to the affected area, and the light energy will be delivered in short bursts.
The duration of the treatment will depend on the size of the area being treated and the severity of the condition. Most sessions last between 5-20 minutes, and multiple sessions may be required for optimal results.
